An old vamp favorite: Alex O'Loughlin

Sent: Uncertain (multiple tries and addresses)
Received: Dec. 1, 2009

I can mark another one off of my most wanted list for 2009. I've written Alex O'Loughlin multiple times since I first started watching "Moonlight," which I might add, was my favorite new show of the 2007-2008 season and further proof that I loved vampire tales before Twilight. I was upset when CBS canceled the show. Now Alex is on CBS again, in "Three Rivers, which is good but it's no "Moonlight." Each time I wrote him, I sent Alex pictures in character from "Moonlight," but he only sent me this high quality 8x10 from his new show. I'm not complaining! Not only is the photo personalized, but he put a heart sticker on the envelope beside my name and protected the picture with a piece of cardboard. I'm thrilled with this success!

Most Wanted: Review

Most Wanted for 2009

Back in January, I posted a list of my most wanted autographs from 2009. The year isn't over yet, but I thought I'd go back and review now.

Most wanted:

*Kristen Stewart, *Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, *Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, *Billy Burke, Stephanie Meyer, *Tom Welling, *Brandon Routh, *Alex O'Loughlin, *Nathan Fillion, Eliza Dusku, Lena Headey, Victor Webster, *Skeet Ulrich, Anna Paquin, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Kerr Smith, Kristen Bell, Ryan Reynolds, and William Shatner

Conclusion: Not a bad year, considering I finally got Brandon Routh and I got a chunk of the Twilight cast that I wanted. However, maybe Santa will bring me Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, my two most wanted of all, since I think I've been a good girl this year. I can hope, can't I?

My first "Eclipse" autograph!

Boo Boo Stewart
Sent: 09/29/09
Received: 11/16/09

Comments: OK, Seth Clearwater is one of my FAVORITE characters from the Twilight series of books, so when it was announced that Boo Boo Stewart would play him, he is the first person I wrote to from the Eclipse cast, and the first success I've had from it. He sent me the photo since I didn't have one to send him. I think he'll make a great Seth. I can't wait to see the movie in June!

That's Why It's Good to Be Me!

Gene Simmons
via venue (KISS concert)
Mailed: 2 8x10 photos, a SASE and a letter of request

Comments: OK, wow. This is one autograph I never expected to get back. I'm still investigating its authenticity by comparing it to real sigs elsewhere on the web, but I'm 99 percent certain it's really his signature. I wrote Gene because my best friend and I love "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." I explained what the show meant to us and asked for an autograph for both of us. Well, he only signed one picture, but considering I didn't expect to get anything back (he's a notorious non-signer unless you pay for the privilege and I have never seen a TTM success posted from him anywhere) I'm pretty happy with this success!!

Yet two more "Twilight" successes

Chaske Spencer
Sent: 8/17/09
Received: 8/31/09

Address used:
Chaske Spencer
c/o Josselyne Herman & Associates
345 East 56th Street
Suite 3B
New York, NY 10022

Comments: I decided to try and get the newer cast members sigs through the mail now rather than wait for "New Moon" to hit theaters. I started with Sam, the leader of the wolf pack, played by Chaske Spencer. Judging by how fast I got a reply, I'd say Chaske is going to be a great through-the-mail signer! Thanks, Chaske!

Gil Birmingham

Received: 8/31/09

Address used:
Gil Birmingham
Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier Agency
5055 Wilshire Blvd.
Suite 865
Los Angeles, CA 90036

Comments: I loved Gil as Billy Black, Jacob's dad, in "Twilight." He gave the character life and personality which I felt was missing from the books. I love his inscription, since I am a fanatic about wolves. :) Two successes in one day almost cured me of the migraine I am having! What a nice surprise.

Four Twilight successes!

BILLY BURKE
Received: In-person at the TwiTour in Atlanta on July 10, 2009

Billy is the main reason I wanted to attend the Atlanta TwiTour, and I am thrilled to finally have his autograph. I loved him as Charlie Swan! He is even hotter in person, I must say. Super nice guy too. I was told by both Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz that the convention organizers did not want them to personalize autographs, which is why Billy's isn't personalized.

PETER FACINELLI
Received: In-person at the TwiTour in Atlanta on July 10, 2009

I already had Peter's autograph through the mail, so I wanted to get his signature on a non-Twilight photo. I'm glad I did. I've met a lot of celebrities, and my experience with Peter Facinelli is, hands down, my favorite so far. Not only is he 10 times better looking in person, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met, celebrity or not. He personalized all of his autographs (even though I suspect he was told not to) and gave hugs to all of his fans who asked during the autograph session. We waited in line almost 4 hours to get Billy and Peter's autographs for this reason, but meeting Peter at the end made it all worthwhile. He was so friendly and nice to everyone. When he saw I had this picture from "Nurse Jackie," he seemed so glad I'd brought it and talked to me for a couple of minutes about his character on the show. If you ever have the chance to meet Peter, do it!! He's awesome to his fans. He's a very gracious man.

KELLAN LUTZ
Received: In-person at the TwiTour in Atlanta on July 11, 2009

I was not much of a Kellan Lutz fan before the TwiTour, but he totally won me over in person. He's another one who looks so much better in person, and he has the personality to match. He's so funny, very buff (what a body!), very gracious to his fans and he has this way of looking right at you with his beautiful eyes, smiling and making you feel special. When I told him thank you for signing my picture, he looked me right in the eyes and said, "No, no, thank you for coming. This is the least I can do." He even made my niece -- who swore he was only "okay" -- get tongue-tied when he talked to her. She's pretty hard to impress, and now she loves him too!

ASHLEY GREENE
Received: In-person at the TwiTour in Atlanta on July 11, 2009

Since I had received Jackson Rathbone's autograph through the mail, I thought it would be cool to get Ashley Greene to sign the same photo. Ashley is one beautiful woman in person. She seemed almost shy, and when I asked her to personalize my picture, she apologized and said they'd asked her not to, and she seemed a little bothered to have to tell me that. I thanked her and moved aside to wait to meet Kellan. When I glanced back toward Ashley, she was staring at me. Then she reached out her hand and wiggled her fingers, signaling me to hand her the photo again. Without a word, she signed "To Angie" and handed it back. So now I have this totally awesome signed photo from both Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene. If she hadn't personalized it, I probably could have sold it on ebay for an easy hundred or so, but this is one of those autographs that means more to me than money could buy. Thanks, Ashley!!

"Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr.
Sent: 5/26/09
Received: 7/3/09 - returned my 8x10 photo signed
Address used:
c/o Rogers & Cowan
Pacific Design Center
8687 Melrose Avenue
7th Floor
Los Angeles, CA 90069

Comments:
My superhero collection is gaining ground with the addition of Mr. Downey's autograph. "Iron Man" was my second favorite film of 2008, and I have been a fan of RDJs for as long as I can remember. He was awesome as Chaplin! Now I have Batman (Christian Bale), Superman (Brandon Routh) and Iron Man's signatures!

Twilight fan events

It's no secret I'm a fan of Twilight and hoping to get a complete set of autographs from this awesome book-to-film series. Luckily, there are some fan events scheduled to help me and others like me accomplish this task with in-person autograph opportunities.

Salute to Twilight/Twi*Tour conventions:
these are planned for Atlanta, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Chicago and a variety of other places and will feature between 4-6 cast members from the first two films at each event. For more information, visit Creation Entertainment's Web site at http://www.creationent.com/

The Vampire Baseball Adventure is scheduled for Portland, Oregan, June 29-July 5 with Twilight cast and crew. This is where they filmed the first Twilight movie, and the coolest part of the movie was the baseball scene. Events will include tours of movie locations, themed activities and finish with a baseball game for charity (Make-A-Wish Foundation) played by some of the actors, including Peter Facinelli. Now, does that sound awesome or what? For more information, go here: http://fantrips.travel/twilightfantrips/vampire_baseball.html

My holy grail of autographs arrived today!

Brandon Routh

Sent: 4/18/09 - photo and SASE to the set of "Dead of Night"
Received: 5/26/09

Address used:
“Dead Of Night”
Long Distance Films
600 Edwards Ave.
Harahan, LA 70123
(filming ends May 28, 2009)

Comments: OMG! OMG! OMG! This has been my most wanted autograph for four years now, and yes, sadly, I have sent a total of six letters of request to Mr. Routh at various addresses in that time. Truly, this was my holy grail of autographs, and it appears to be authentic! And personalized! Oh, Brandon, I love you! I never expected to like any actor who played Superman on the big screen because I was such a die-hard Christopher Reeve fan in the role, but I fell hook, line and sinker for Brandon Routh after seeing "Superman Returns" in 2006. I only wish now that I had included two photos for him to sign. I mean, I totally have to have the Superman pic, but Brandon is gorgeous "as is," too. Still, I can't complain. This really made my day!

My Fourth "Twilight" Success!

Jackson Rathbone
Sent: 2/26/09
Received: 5/16/09

Address Used:
Jackson Rathbone
The Paradigm Agency
Attn: Chris Schmidt for Jackson Rathbone
360 N. Crescent Drive
North Building
Beverly Hills, 90210

Comments: I am gaining ground on getting my Cullen collection complete! I love, love Jasper in the books, and I have had a crush on Jackson since I saw the film. I wish this had been personalized, but hopefully, I will get to meet Jackson at one of the Salute to Twilight conventions this year and can correct that oversight. This one made my day! I adore Jackson! Now, if I can only get Rob and Kellan, I will have all of the Cullen men!

My third "Twilight" success!

Peter Facinelli
Sent: 2/9/09
Received: 5/11/09
Address Used:
Peter Facinelli
James/Levy/Jacobson Management, Inc.
3500 West Olive Avenue
Suite 1470
Burbank, CA 91505

Sent: A picture, a letter, SASE

This must be my lucky autograph-collecting week! I finally, finally received Dr. Carlisle Cullen's sig! And in addition to signing the baseball scene pic I sent him, he also sent an extra headshot of himself as Dr. Cullen. How awesome! I was getting worried mine had been lost after seeing so many people receive his autograph, in many cases, only a week after writing to him. Anyway, I love Peter, with blonde hair or his natural dark. From what I've read about him, he seems so nice. :)

Christian Bale

Sent: Feb. 9, 2009
Received: May 9, 2009

I've sent Mr. Bale several requests because I was a huge fan of his before he ever stepped into the cape as Batman. I've loved him since "Newsies," but I think he's been awesome as Bruce Wayne, and I'm super psyched to see him take over the role of John Connor in the new Terminator films. Anyway, I finally got a reply, and it's even personalized! Awesome.

My Second "Twilight" Success!

Michael Welch

Sent: 2/12/09; sent SASE, photo
Received: 4/25/09; 2 signed photos

Address used:
Michael Welch
4924 Balboa Blvd. PMB #540
Encino, CA, 91316

Michael's official website invites fans to send him SASE's to receive a 4x6 autographed photo, but I sent him one I'd found of him in character as Mike Newton from the Twilight books. It wasn't the best quality photo, so I'm really glad he kept it and sent me two more, including this 8X10 headshot. I know he read my letter because I mentioned being a fan of the show "Joan of Aracadia" on which he starred, and he included a pre-printed autographed cast photo. Awesome!

My first "Twilight" success

Nikki Reed
Sent: 2/11/09
Received: 4/2/09

All I can say is WOW! This, at the moment, is my favorite autograph of all time. Some backstory: I'd heard Nikki wasn't a good TTM signer because, as she has said before in interviews, she doesn't understand why anyone would want her autograph. Still, I liked her as Rosalie and rented "Thirteen" and was blown away by her, so I sent her this photo just in the hopes she might respond. My letter must have done something right! Love this inscription, since it's obvious she actually read my letter. To clarify, my letter told her that I thought she did great as Rosalie and that I was very impressed that she had written "Thirteen" and starred in it at such an early age. I mentioned my hopes for seeing "Eclipse" since Rosalie has a bigger role in the book, told her she and Kristen Stewart were two of my favorite young actresses because they showed a lot of integrity in the roles they pursued, and I made a tongue-in-cheek reference that I was sorry, but I hated the O.C. (Nikki had a role on it way back when) and not even Nikki could make me like it. :) I'm still in shock and quite amazed I got this back and got it so quickly.

A "Supernatural" love

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles
I received this pre-print cast photo after writing to the show's production office in Canada during its first season. Now in it's fourth year, "Supernatural" is one of my favorite shows on television.

Jensen Ackles
I consider myself pretty lucky to have received this personalized, authentic autograph from Jensen, who usually sends out pre-prints. I actually participated in a contest through his official fan newsletter and won this along with a signed copy of his DVD "Devour." Since Jensen is my favorite actor of all time, this is my No. 1 favorite autograph.

Jared Padalecki
I wrote to Jared at the Canada address for the show about two years ago and received this autograph after a short wait. While it's not personalized, and my goal is to get one that is, I like this photo. A lot. :)

"Lost" successes

Yunjin Kim
Sent: 04/05/2007
Received: 02/25/2009

This is probably the longest success I've received through the mail. I wrote to Yunjin, who plays Sun on Lost, at the Hawaii set two years ago. (address can be found on fanmail.biz)

Terry O'Quinn
Sent: 04/05/ 2007
Received: 12/13/2007

An older success, the actor who plays John Locke, was a fairly quick response compared to Ms. Kim. I wrote several actors on the show, using the Hawaii set location address, at the same time. Aside from a 5x7 pre-print from Matthew Fox, these are my only successes, so far.

Summer Glau

Summer Glau
Sent: March 2, 2008
Received: Jan. 22, 2009
"The Sarah Conner Chronicles" is one of my favorite shows on TV, so of course I sent a request to Cameron, the awesome female Terminator on this series. I've actually been a fan of Summer's since I saw "Serenity." It took almost a year to get this, but I'm glad I got someone from the show! I used the address for her found on fanmail.biz

Most Wanted for 2009

It's been a while since I've posted any autographs because it's been a very slow year of collecting for me. I recently sent off a batch of new requests, and I thought I'd post my Most Wanted Wish List for 2009. Hopefully I'll be able to boast some successes from this list by the time 2010 rolls around!

Most wanted:
*Kristen Stewart, *Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, *Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, *Billy Burke, Stephanie Meyer, *Tom Welling, *Brandon Routh, *Alex O'Loughlin, *Nathan Fillion, Eliza Dusku, Lena Headey, Victor Webster, *Skeet Ulrich, Anna Paquin, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Kerr Smith, Kristen Bell, Ryan Reynolds, and William Shatner

* Denotes the autographs I'd almost be willing to kill for. Anyone got any connections?
