Piper Perabo

If at first you don't succeed, try again. I loved Piper in Coyote Ugly, so I wrote her last year in June 2006. I never received a response, but when I saw how many people were getting successes from her, I tried again. I sent her a B&W photo from Coyote Ugly, but it looks like her silver Sharpie wasn't writing properly. Thankfully, she supplied another photo, with a better, clearer inscription and signature. She seems so good to her fans.

Almost a year to the day, I received a response from CSI's Eric Szmanda. I don't watch the show often, but when I do, Greg always catches my attention. He's funny and a hottie. How can you lose?

I sent Taylor a picture from The Covenant, which I actually sorta liked, but he kept it and returned this 5x7 from Friday Night Lights instead. Still, it's better than most send. I hope to watch the show when it returns next year. He's a hottie.

Like, I was totally excited to get Shaggy's sig, man. I'm a Scooby fanatic, and Casey Kasem has been tops on my Most Wanted list for years. I've written him twice before with no response, but after seeing several successes for him other places, I decided to try again. He even signed the bad computer print I sent him. Still, I'm happy. :)

I was thrilled to get this autograph from the wonderful Betty White. I've enjoyed Ms. White on Golden Girls and Boston Legal, and I especially love the work she's done on behalf of animals.

Adam Garcia

Adam Garcia

It took almost a year to get this signature from Adam Garcia, the hunky Australian actor best known to American audiences for his role in "Coyote Ugly." His nearly unreadable signature seems authentic compared to other in-persons I've found online, which makes it well worth the wait. :)

One Tree Hill collection

In-person from the 4th Annual One Tree Hill Charity Basketball Game in Wilmington, N.C. March 24, 2007.

Lee Norris (Mouth)
He was so nice, he was the only one who personalized his autographs.

Danneel Harris (Rachel)
I wasn't a huge fan until I met her. Super nice and very personable.

Hilarie Burton (Peyton)
She had a lot of energy and seemed so happy to meet the fans. I was very impressed by her.

James Lafferty (Nathan)
What a hunk! Looks better in person than on TV. Mmm-mmm.

I had my ticket signed by Amber Wallace (Glenda) and Kelsey Chow (GiGi) since I didn't have photos of them. They were both sweet and friendly.

Since I don't see a whole lot of personalized successes from him, I was really surprised (not to mention thrilled) to see that Ryan signed the picture I sent him from "The Notebook." I saw that some people were getting preprints and had expected the same. Don't know how I got so lucky, but it appears authentic and I'm thrilled. Another success after a long wait. It must be my lucky month. :)

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey
Sent: 6/17/2006
Received: 4/1/2007

It took almost a year to receive this obvious pre-print from one of my favorite "Grey's Anatomy" stars. Patrick Dempsey actually has the honor of being the first celebrity I ever met in person. I was 14, working in a deli at the local mall, and he walked in to order while I was at the counter. Apparently he'd been in town filming "Coupe DeVille." My friend and I made total fools of ourselves (we were obsessed with watching "Can't Buy Me Love" and recognized him instantly) but I managed to snag his autograph on a napkin and snap a few pictures courtesy of the camera shop a few doors down. Poor guy. If I'd only known back then what a huge star he would become. Still, I'm glad to add this hunky pre-print next to my authentic in-person signature.

"Psych" has become one of my favorite shows, and I love James Roday as the title character. When I researched his past work, I saw that he wrote the screenplay for "Skinwalkers," a werewolf film coming out this summer. I know he read my letter because I mentioned that I was a writer and hoped to write a screenplay myself someday. His inscription says it all, "Always Be Writing."

I love Mariska on Law & Order: SVU, so I wrote to her. She sent me this beautiful signed photo, which seems different from the usual photo she sends out, making it all the more special.

I have been trying to get Scott Speedman's autograph for years, ever since I fell for him in the first "Underworld" - a movie I consider a guilty pleasure. I took a chance and wrote to him in Florence, S.C. on location. He signed the photo I sent and included a placard from the production. I was thrilled.
